Holiday Day #1&2

Hello lovelies!

Recently I went on a short holiday to Paris with my friend Lizzie, catching the Eurostar from London and heading back to catch a show! I thought I would share my time with you on here and start at the beginning but combine the first 2 days as not much happened on the first day!

So, let's start with day 1! a shorter day as the train to London wasn't leaving till around 12:30 so by the time I got there it would be going onto 3pm. As soon as we got off the train at Euston we headed to our hotel, well a hostel. We stayed at the YHA St Pancras which is were we stay every time we go to London and we really enjoy it ther, it is directly opposite the station and is very decent. Being on the train since dinner time we were quite hungry so we decided to head over to the Lowlander which was a pub type plays near the theatre that is currently playing War Horse (the name of that theatre escapes me right now!) I just looked on google it is on Drury Lane Covent Garden all I can remember is that the food there is amazing! I had the Wild Boar burger and mmmmmm it was so yummy! We headed straight back after eating as we wanted an early night for our 9.22 am Eurostar to Paris!

Day 2! Up early and out ready for the early train! The train would get us into Paris at around 12:30 local time and we quickly wanted to dump our bags and get going round the city! We were staying in the New Hotel Gare Du Nord and we knew it was really close to the station yet we still walked round in a big circle before returning to the station and looking across the road and seeing the sign for the hotel #fail comes to mind! We checked in and took our bags to the room and for a 2 star hotel we really liked it, the staff were really friendly great service and I think we had the best view from our window complete with a balcony

 This is the view from our balcony, that was the Gare Du Nord station that is how close we were and watching sunset and sunrise here was unbelievable!

Now we had our stuff in the room we headed out on a little adventure!

 We headed on the metro straight the the Eiffel Tower and ate a Crepe with nutella, mmm it was huge! and yummy and although it was sunny (really sunny!) it was freezing! there was the coldest wind so we were getting all wrapped up but putting sunglasses on to so it felt a bit funny!

 Next we headed over towards Notre Dame and came across the Palace of Justice (see below)

 And then we found Notre Dame. Cue lots of bad singing of Disney songs! we even pointed out parts from the film for example the picture below would have been where Frolo tried to bash the door down and get in during the end scene

 SANCTUARY!!

See the top of it? I climbed all 412 stairs up.......and then back down! but this is the veiw we were met with and it was worth it!

 Once we were finished here we decided to head back to the hotel and get changed for dinner, we ended up going to the cafe on the corner of our hotel as it was nearer and easier, besides we were so tired after climbing all those stairs!

So we shall leave it here for now and in the next post you will see the next part of our holiday which I was so excited about and I shall leave you hanging!
